What kind of shop is this?

Let me know what you think this old shop is. I'll let you know soon. The Japanese word "Kami" will give you a big clue.

Would you like to visit this shop?

Hi Mr S from Room 3!
We had a guess at what this shop might be but had no idea. So we googled what 'Kami' means in Japanese and it said 'spirit or life-force'. Jade thought maybe it was a place people went for carrying out a seance!
We are looking forward to an explanation.

Nice idea Jade - creative as usual! Actually this shop carries out another spiritual activity, getting your hair cut. Hehe This is a barbers shop. You can see the light out front with the blue , red and white stripes. Most barbers have this sign. you can get many nice services at the barbers including nose hair and ear hair trimming. At the best shops you will even get a small shoulder massage. A hair cut will usually cost about 1500 yen. That sounds expensive doesn't it but it's only about $20.00.
I might try this shop next time.
